Q: Where does Arlene’s get its jewelry?
A: All of our jewelry is Native American made in Arizona or New Mexico.
Q: Are the stones in the jewelry real?
A: All of the stones are real, unless specified in the description of the item. We do not carry reconstituted or block (plastic) stones.
Q: How do I know that the Native American items are authentic?
A: We have been members of the Indian Arts and Crafts Association (IACA) since the 1980s. In order to belong to this organization, we must represent Native American made items truthfully, and at fair prices.
Q: What if my jewelry needs repair?
A: We offer free repairs on OUR MERCHANDISE within 60 days of purchase. After this, THERE IS A MINIMUM CHARGE OF $25.00. You need to send the item(s) to us with a copy of the receipt.
Q: How do I care for sandpaintings?
A: Do not hang directly in constant sunlight, as it may fade. For cleaning, use a feather duster to remove excess dust. Do this very lightly!
Q: How do I clean my sterling silver jewelry?
A: Use a sterling silver polishing cloth, or a spray that is safe for jewelry (Hagerty is one of these). DO NOT USE ANY JEWELRY CLEANING DIP FOR JEWELRY WITH STONES! Also, an old soft toothbrush and toothpaste can be used.
Q: Can I use the pottery for live plants with water?
A: NO. These pots are decorative only.
Q: How do I care for the Lucite sculptures?
A: A soft cloth is fine. The cloth can be slightly damp, and a mild soap solution (for example, Ivory liquid) can be used if necessary. DO NOT USE WINDEX OR ANY OTHER CLEANING SOLUTIONS.
Q: When are your stores open?
We are open from 9 AM to 5 PM daily. This is Pacific Time in the spring and summer, and Mountain Time in the fall and winter. We are closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.
Q: Where is Tombstone?
A: Tombstone is 75 miles southeast of Tucson.
Q: What if my shipment gets damaged?
A: All shipments are insured. We will try to fix the problem as quickly as possible. Please call us, and we will begin the proceedings with the shipping companies.
