Morenci Turquoise

Morenci Turquoise is found in Southeast Arizona, near the New Mexico border. The Morenci Mine is the largest copper mine in the USA and was first claimed in 1864 as the Longfellow mine. Morenci Turquoise is known for its light and bright blue color. The turquoise is highly sought after and difficult to obtain as the mine no longer leases to private enterprises for mining.
